TESTIMONIALS

What Our Clients Say About The Mindfulness Program

Adam

"Before starting the program, I used to get stressed and anxious, especially in high-pressure situations during games. I'd let mistakes bother me, and it was hard to move on quickly. I wasn't as focused or in control of my emotions, which affected my performance and how I felt outside of basketball too. After completing the program, I feel much more in control. I'm able to stay calm and focused, even when things don't go my way. I don't let stress or pressure affect me as much, and I can bounce back faster from making mistakes. I feel more confident both as an athlete and in my everyday life."

"My experience of the program was very positive, it opened up a world of coping strategies to help with my anxiety on and off the court. Before I started the program, I would be consumed by anxiety and it would dictate how I played. I also lacked a lot of confidence within myself and I would avoid opportunities and certain situations."

Paula

"I feel a lot happier both on and off the court. On the court, I can enjoy the process because when you go through the mindfulness program, you don't just learn different methods on how to deal with situations, the way you see the game of basketball and your emotions, changes too. Off the court, I now don't get as affected by basketball so there is less stress and unhappiness. A bad workout doesn't make me feel anxious and I don't ruminate over mistakes because I'm able to be more present."

Paula Puzule

"Mindfulness has helped with my performance as an athlete as I am now more able to stay present when playing basketball. I no longer dwell on missed shots or mistakes which I made the previous play. Instead, by practicing mindfulness, I am now able to remain calm and confident whilst I play, even when facing adversity during the game."

Ethan Conway

"My experience in the program has been challenging but extremely helpful. Learning new techniques I have never tried before was a little scary at first but overtime, I understood it more so it became easier. I now have a greater understanding of myself and the ability, and confidence to better control my mind and emotions."

Alice Woodward

"Using mindfulness as an athlete has helped me a lot. It's allowed me to take unnecessary pressure off myself with the expectation to perform and it's allowed me to come into games motivated and ready to perform at my best. I feel now that I don't get as nervous when it comes to playing the game. I come into the game relaxed, less nervous and ready to play. I feel it's allowed me to be much more mentally engaged, so that I don't take plays off."
